With the rapid development of economy and the increase of import and export trade,the Scolytidae and Platypodidae beetles are frequently intercepted and captured by the inspection and quarantine departments.This study selected Platypodidae(mainly Platypus spp.and Crossotarsus spp.),Ips spp.,Dendroctonus spp.and Xyleborus spp.as objects,which are contained in ?The list of import pest in plant quarantine of People's Republic of China?.And they have more intercepted frequency in ports.Defining the pests' all semichemicals,selecting the releasing carrier,and loading amount of them to attain the release rate,these three steps are required to develop the lures in ports.Then mix those semichemicals monomers and hang in wood dump in port.According to the results,we can select suitable lure for single or multiple species.The experimental results of selecting the carrier and loading amount showed that that of plant volatiles are polyvinyl bottle,5ml,268mg/d;that of ethanol are polyvinyl bag,20 ml,588mg/d;that of Ipsdienol are polyvinyl bag plus PCR tube,20?l,1.19mg/d;that of Ipsenol are polyvinyl bag,20?l,1.20mg/d;that of cis-verbenol are polyvinyl bag,20 mg,0.95mg/d;that of trans-verbenol are polyvinyl bag,25?l,1.95mg/d;that of 232-MB are polyvinyl bag,600?l,2035mg/d;that of Frontalin are polyvinyl bag plus PCR tube,50?l,3.24mg/d;that of exo-brevicomin are polyvinyl bag plus PCR tube,40?l,2.51mg/d;that of S are polyvinyl bag plus PCR tube,50?l,2.55mg/d;that of hexanol polyvinyl bag,0.5ml,21.25mg/d;that of sulcatol are polyvinyl bag,0.5ml,22.17mg/d;that of sulcatone are polyvinyl bag,0.5ml,26.68mg/d;that of 3-pentanol are polyvinyl bag,1.2ml,69.31mg/d.The experimental results of selecting attractants showed that the lures of Platypodidae,Ips spp.,Dendroctonus spp.and Xyleborus spp.are A5+P2(three kind of pheromone monomer and ethanol),P5(ethanol and a-pinene),I7(three kind of pheromone monomer),Cv and C1(two kind of pheromone monomer),respectively.Some lures also can trap Cerambycidae which will provide experimental basis for the development of their lures.We also can find the activity rhythm of Platypodidae and Scolytidae from trap quantity in a year.Platypodidae and Xyleborus started activity before middle of May and ended after September.Activity of Ips began on late April or early May and ended on late September or early October.The traps were influenced by environmental factors,especially temperature and rainfal.There is a positive correlation between trapping amount and temperature,and a negative correlation between trapping amount and rainfal.As a consequence,strengthen prevention,early monitoring and effective quarantine is particularly important when the year in high temperature and less rainfall.
