With the rapid development of machinery industry and increasingly faster upgrading of products, the parametric design for mechanical enterprise provides a low cost, high efficiency of product design method. It based on some constraints, storage product design process, make the some quantitative information quantitative and different values by giving variational parameters, which can realize automation for the whole course of product design. Driven dimension parametric design is based on the size constraint geometric model, size of the object of study on modeling and physical modeling. Through dimension driven quickly generate 3D model or 2D graphics, to improve the precision of the model, at the same time, promote the development of automation design. For some typical parts, because of its similarity to parametric design, to shorten the design cycle, improve efficiency purpose. For assembly dimension model of research, in order to guarantee high assembly precision, realize the proper labeling of various parts in assembly, we can through the establishment of a complete assembly model to the various elements of the assembly interact with each other, in order to realize the assembly of the parts dimension and tolerance of fast solving. Assembly model based on assembly dimension path graph can describe all the target size and relevant parts in assembly, implements the solving of the various parts of the size and tolerance, and puts forward the correct method of component size. But when the assembly structure is complex, many factors, the establishment of path graph process is extremely complex, cannot clear intuitively describe various paths, the target dimension of that affect the size of the correct and reasonable modeling.In this paper, modeling of complex assembly size, on the basis of assembly dimension path graph all related assembly model is set up, to realize parametric design of assembly size. This paper put forward the idea of complex assembly hierarchical build path graph, the study of complex assembly classification principle and method. This method can effectively simplify the complex assembly dimension modeling method and process, to lay a good foundation for the assembly size of parametric design.In this thesis completed the following work:(1) Through the study of complex the relationship of the various components of the assembly, put forward the principle of the selection of target size, summarizes the selection of target size rule, in order to achieve the purpose of correctly and quickly identify the target size.(2) On the basis of the concept of assembly dimension path graph, proposed complex assembly simplify classification principle and method, realize the classification of complex assembly path graph, the size of the total correlation model is set up at the same time.(3) Combining with examples, the method of complex assembly dimension model is validated and application, a detailed analysis of complex assembly simplify the implementation process of classification.(4) Study how to identify and handle assembly of the positioning and according to the location problem. How to judge the correctness of the assembly dimension path graph, in order to ensure complete reasonable assembly size model is set up.
