This paper is based on the situation that the space of compact office is very narrow, the demands of use are diverse, the requirement of storage is high and the space utilization is low. First, collect the data and review the literature to know the shape, type and space of office. Then, conduct the field research on the office in downtown area in two first-tier cities to understand the situation of compact office furniture. Finally, make the questionnaire about the situation of office furniture and the patterns of office behaviors. After the analysis of survey results, take the modular furniture redesign of compact office furniture combined with functional furniture design by the research of practical demands and the dimension of the human body.
