With the unceasingly growth of urbanization of our country,problems of municipal solid waste collection and transportation system have been great obstacles to sustainable developments due to increasingly amount MSW production.To this regard,"China urban solid waste management assessment report" had proposed several suggestions for`;Thirteenth Five;" MSW management plans including specifying management goal and announcing annual evaluation reports of management performance.More detailed researches on indicator systems and evaluation models of communal MSW collection and transportation system which is taken as the unit of urban MSW collection and transportation as well as management systems are demanded.Therefore,in this paper,researches on communal MSW collection and transportation system with the object of Chengdu were shown below:(1)Based on the analysis of current methods of MSW collection and transportation system and related facilities,three-level indicators evaluation system of MSW collection and transportation system was established by taking local management requirements into consideration.Those indicators include economics assessment,operating conditions assessment,management assessment,environmental impact assessment,safety and emergency assessment as well as society assessment.Because of distinct evaluation levels,established indicators,specific methods and dimensionless,the developed evaluation system is suitable to both traditional and informatization MSW collection and transportation systems.(2)Combined with AHP and TOPSIS methods,a communal MSW collection and transportation system was established.AHP method could bond experiences of experts while TOPSIS method provides more objective results which would not be affected by subjective impacts.Moreover,the calculation would be much simpler which leads easier operation.In a word,the developed evaluation system met the demands of comprehensive communal-scale evaluation.(3)Data from Duyuan Street and Huangzhong Street in Chengdu was inputted into the established evaluation system.Results showed that the close-degree values of Duyuan Street and Huangzhong Street are 0.1023 and 0.8977 respectively,which visualized revealed that MSW collection and transportation system of Huangzhong Street was superior to Duynuan Street.Attributes which had great difference to ideal solutions would be found out by comparing weighting matrix to ideal solutions.When those attributes were found,pertinence suggestions towards to improving MSW collection and transportation system could be proposed.In summary,quantitative evaluation of the communal MSW collection and transportation system could be provided by the established evaluation system,which offers quantitative references for managing MSW in the future.
