Urbanization is the inevitable choice for China to sustain its economic growth,and to promote the development of urban and rural as well as the quality of people's life.However,with the acceleration of economic reform and industrialization,China's ecological environment is facing unprecedented pressure,especially for haze and other air pollution incidents which cause extensive public concern.Urbanization and air quality interact with each other.The relationship between these two systems is complex and keeps changing in different stages.Studying the interaction and identifying risk factors that affect air quality in the process of urbanization will help people to understand the temporal and spatial characteristics of the current situation of urban development and air quality.Meanwhile,it can assist the government in the atmospheric environment protection and air quality improvement.Therefore,the coupling model of urbanization and air quality is constructed to analyze the coupling relationship between them in Zhejiang province.Furthermore,risk factors of air quality and PM2.5 concentration are explored by geographical detectors.Analyzing the similarities and differences between risk factors makes more sense to put forward targeted countermeasures and recommendations.Three main aspects of this paper's research content are as follows:(1)The urbanization index system was selected and established from four aspects of its definition:population,economy,land use,and society development.The annual air quality index(AQI)was chosen to express the air quality level.The urbanization level and air quality level of Zhejiang province was calculated and analyzed from 2013 to 2015.(2)The coupling model of urbanization and air quality was constructed using the urbanization level and air quality level.The coupling coordination relationship between urbanization and air quality in Zhejiang province was analyzed quantitatively from 2013 to 2015.(3)According to the coupling coordination level,Zhejiang province was divided into coordinated area(Hangzhou,Jiaxing,Ningbo,and Zhoushan),transitional zone(Huzhou,Shaoxing,Jinhua,Wenzhou,and Taizhou)and uncoordinated area(Quzhou and Lishui).The risk factors of air quality and PM2.5 concentration in these three zones were calculated via geographical detectors.The differences of risk factors and their determinant powers at different urbanization stages were discussed.The trends between risk factors and risk events were identified.Assessing whether the combined effect of the two-factor interaction will enhance or weaken the explanatory power of risk events.At last,put forward targeted countermeasures and recommendations.
