Population urbanization and global warming have become the trend,with the continuous migration of people to cities,production methods and people's lifestyles on climate change is very significant.China is in the stage of urbanization and industrialization,economic growth rapidly,lead to an increase of infrastructure demand,leading to carbon cycle imbalance At present,China has become the world's first emitters,analysis tne characteristics of carbon dioxide in the process of urbanization in China,how to improve carbon emission efficiency is the key to the development of China's low-carbon economy,which sustainable development of China's economy,improve the quality of urbanization Have important theoretical and practical value.In addition to discussing the relationship between urbanization level and carbon emissions in China,this paper also considers the carbon emission efficiency of various provinces and cities,and combines the factors of industrial structure,energy structure and technological progress to explore the relationship between urbanization and carbon efficiency,which provide recommendations to various regions.First of all,combined with the existing research literature review associated mechanism of urbanization affect carbon emissions,which urbanization can directly affect the total carbon emissions,but also through economic growth,industrial structure,energy consumption,technological progress affect carbon emissions.Secondly,estimate the accounting of carbon emissions in various provinces and analysis the characteristics of carbon emissions,through the establishment of measurement model found that China's urbanization and the total carbon emissions between the long-term equilibrium relationship.Thirdly,using the national and eastern,central and western regional panel data to study the relationship between the urbanization level and carbon emissions,indicating that there is a clear regional differences between them.In eastern and central regions of urbanization level have a significant promoting effect on carbon emissions,and the western region urbanization level had no significant effect on overall carbon emissions.GDP per capita,energy structure,industrial structure will promote the growth of total carbon emissions,and technological progress on the total carbon emissions inhibition is still quite limited.To further explore the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions,this paper uses the DEA model based on the GML index to calculate the carbon emission efficiency.The results show that China's carbon emission efficiency is gradually reduced by the eastern,central and western regions.Finally,Tobit model was used to analyze the relationship between urbanization and carbon emission efficiency.The results showed that the urbanization level had a significant effect on the carbon emission efficiency,and the urbanization level in the western region had a greater impact on carbon emission efficiency than the national average.While the urbanization level of the eastern region has the least impact on the carbon emission efficiency.Finally,according to the analysis results,combined with regional economic status,targeted countermeasures and suggestions.
