| Eutrophication is one of the most serious environmental problems in current China, because it has caused water pollution, destruction of aquatic ecological balance in lakes and reservoirs. The eutrophication is mainly induced by excessive contents of nitrogen and phosphorus in the water, resulting in bloom phenomenon. This research aims to nurturing water spinach through aeration irrigation way, to enhancing the water purification effect, and to increasing economic efficiency, economic crop to restore waters in oxygen irrigated way. Highlights of this study is the use of oxygenated water floating bed technology and ecological technology, and the study is illustrated the impacts led by aeration irrigation on water spinach breeding process and nitrogen and phosphorus absorption. Based on the experiments, fundamentals and methods, results were analyzed to be shown as follows:(1)Water with oxygen treatment can effectively assist the water spinach to absorbing nitrogen and phosphorus. Compared with adding oxygen group and the controlled one, the absorption percentage of nitrogen increased by an average of 15.3% as well as that of phosphorus an average of 8.3% in the group added oxygen. Therefore, the oxygen treatment on water spinach can promote the absorption of nitrogen and phosphorus in water.(2)Water added oxygen can enhance the growth ratios of spinach plants:height, root length, number of roots, whole plant fresh weight, and leaf area and shoot growth. Thus, the oxygen treatment can promote the growth of spinach, especially the water spinach roots.(3)Water with oxygen treatment shows obvious and positive effects on transpiration rate, stomatal conductance of water spinach. The average increase of 10.4% chlorophyll content of spinach can be demonstrated in the group with oxygen. These data further enhance the physiological explanation:the oxygen treatment can effectively promote the growth of spinach.In general, the above results show that:with the ecological floating bed technology and the conduct of oxygen irritation,the spinach can effectively increase nitrogen and phosphorus absorption, as well as can occupy better growth figures. The experimental results show that the positive role of oxygen irritation technology for water restoration, but also the economic efficiency improvement of crops. |
