The casting production line of aluminum and iron ingot was used for processing the liquid of aluminum and iron, which could get aluminum and iron ingot that meet the requirements. In this paper, we designed the control system of the production line of aluminum and iron ingot, which is economical, practical, safe and reliable. The main contents were as following:Firstly, according to the compositions and control requirements of the production line of aluminum and iron ingot, we developed the entire program of control system. The production line was made up of pouring, crushing, cooling and weighing, totally four parts. We used the inverter control system for the parts of pouring, crushing and cooling because the control process was easier and the control accuracy was lower. We used the PLC control system for the part of weighing because the control process was more complicated and the control accuracy was higher.Secondly, using inverter for the center and relays for controlling, we designed the inverter control system for the parts of pouring, crushing and cooling, including electrical circuit design and panel design.Thirdly, using PLC for controlling and PLC for the center with servo driver and touch screen, we designed the PLC control system for the part of weighing, including hardware design and software design.Fourthly, based on the hardware and software design of PLC control system for weighing part, we simulated and experimented, including computer simulation and laboratory simulation,to verify the feasibility of PLC control system.According to design of casting production line of the aluminum and iron ingot, we could realize the control process for parts of pouring, cracking, cooling, weighing easily and conveniently. We set up the PLC control system of weighing part, which could shrift control motor reversing effectively. However, we need more data to support the accuracy and stability. According to the requirements of operator, we need to improve the design of touch screen interface, to make sure the easy operating.
