Based On The The Lars Regeneration Of Aluminum Ingot Production Line Design

As a major consumer of aluminum scrap, the technology of recycling aluminum producing in China is still in a low level and the quality of the most second birth aluminum billet cannot be guaranteed. One of the main reasons is short of advanced technology of in line refining of re-melting metal. LARS of Almex USA Inc. is one of the most advanced in line refining systems of aluminum melting metal. Hunan Miluo Longzhou Aluminum Inc. is first importing LARS technology and equipments to build up a brand new casting line of aluminum recycling billet. The author designed first phase of the casting line.The designed general capability of the casting line is 100000 t/a, of which the first phase is 20000 t/a. 5XXX,6XXX,7XXX serials alloy recycling aluminum billets are the main designed products of the first stage casting line. The key technology of the line includes three chambers side well melting furnace, LARS refining system and equipments and Castright^TM II casting system of Almex USA Inc. for semi-continually cast billet by using the same serials aluminum scrap.The contents of the designing includes products solution, producing solution, process designing, equipment selection, metal balance and load computation, layout designing of the casting line and auxiliary designing. The technical principle and the specialty of LARS refining system are the main analysis. After technical index evaluation and the quality analysis of the end products, the technology and equipments of the aluminum recycling billet have reached the advanced international level. The project designing is reasonable and feasible. The products have huge potential demanding in the market and the economic benefit and social effect are remarkable.
