Clothing Development And Variation Of Dalian In Modern Times-Refer To Historical Photograph

Clothing is an important part of culture,it is emerged as the production of social development,meanwhile,clothing is the living representative of the development of the society.Influenced by different political,economy and cultural,clothing varied from time to time and place to place.Therefore,it is significant to study about the history,society and cultural while study the feature of clothing of a certain period of the city.Photograph can record the show the detail of the object objectively.According to the historical photographs,we can be aware of the detail of the clothes,further more,the real record of the social change.This thesis will analyze the historical photograph of modern times of Dalian,explore the variation of clothing and reason of this region,and propose the corresponding rationalization proposal on how to protect Dalian's clothing culture.There are 3 significant variation of Dalian's clothing culture during modern times.The first time was during Russo-Japanese War,foreign clothing got impact on the people who used to wear Qing period costume.People started to concern about clothing,western-style clothes,kimono and Chinese tunic suit became popular in Dalian.The second time was started from the establish of New China to the end of the Cultural Revolution,people at that period wore clothes with green,blue and dark grey,the special clothes for Red Guard and labour suits to representative the feature of that time--political turmoil,economic starts and cultural blockade.The last time was due to the Reform and Opening-up Policy,Dalian starts to connect with the world,and as the result,clothing became globalized,it had a great variety in material,style,shape and colour.Here by,the clothing of Dalian area became flourish and continues today.Social issues result in clothing variation,it is first appear in the reflection on politics,different political states lead different fashion trend,turbulent and left deviation limit clothing development,whereas,free and open type policy promote the prosperity of clothing culture.Secondly is about technique,technology development will improve the material of clothes,function and manufacturing technology,hence speeding up the development.Finally,differentsocial class lead to different clothing culture.To protect Dalian clothing culture,we should inherit the and carry forward in the same time.Government and scholars also need to achieve their own ability,government as policy makers should offer proper research condition to the scholars and comment on the person or organization.Scholars should cooperate with the government positively,offer their strength to protect Dalian's local culture.
