A rite of passage is the one of the most important symbolic ceremonyceremonies in humanetiquette and custom.It is very widespread and useful as an ancient way of educating the youth.Inmodern society, there is little attention was put on ritesof passage.But accordingly with thevariations of social situations and more and more youth problems,educators began to payattention to rites of passage.modern rite of passage began in the90s of the last century in ourcountry, after two decades of development, its scale and form also has improved, but theeducation purposes is far from our expected.So more and more people want tolook for theanswers from the archaic rite.I agree with this point of view.The ritual of ancient rite of passage is complex and cumbersome. Ji li, named by changedduds again and again, it is main part of ancient rite of passage, so I research the clothing ofancient rite, select four dynastys:Zhou, Han, Song, Ming, discuss and compare their ceremonialdress,then obtain the the intrinsic meaning and educational function of ancient rite of passage.Ihope it can provide some theory and experience for the the modern rite of passage and promoteits developing.The dissertation includes4chapters:introduction, the main text, conclusion and outlook.The introduction including the research significance, research status, the concept of theexposition, the scope of the study, research methods, innovation.The main text, include5chapters, have three main parts: the guanli,jiliand the t modernadaptation of traditional rite of passage. Chapters2, chapters3, Chapters4respectively introduceguanli clothing of Zhou Dynasty, Han Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and summarize some conclusion.Chapters5discuss the messages of the clothing; Chapters6,we can know the mode of educationfrom the clothing of rite of passage,and then combine with mordern rites,put forward someobjection,include the tentative idea of canonnicals of modern adult ceremony.Through the dissertation,we can concluded:the clothing of ancient rite of passage havestrict rule, which pinned the blessing and expectations of the elder,contain a wealth of culturalmeaning and historical significance.In essence, It is a thought imprison and a trick of politicaldomination. But its ceremony mode that the implicit education combined with the dominanteducation can be learned by modern adult ceremony.
