The industrial bromine is an important chemical raw material, which is widely used in efficient flame retardant, fire extinguishing agents, refrigerants and dye intermediates, etc. The first phase desalination facility in Tianjin northern Power Plant came into operation formally in June 2009 with capacity of 100,000 tons/day. And the capacity of 5.4°Be' brine is 87.4 million m3/year as by-product. The temperature of discharged brine is 50-60? and the concentration of bromine is about 100mg/L. The unique resource and circumstance creates very favorable condition for the implementation of the design. The amount of extracted bromine is expected as about 5034 ton / year, calculated with 80% of the low concentration brine utilization rate and 70% of the bromine extraction rate.In this paper,absorption procceding the first steps mechanism is analyzed,the effects of the acidation PH,the mixing chlorine rate,the oxidize rate andtemperature on total craft of blowing out the bromine are investigated. In the process of extract bromine from the brine, the technology of acidification and oxidation controlled the extraction ratio and the cost. Through the experimental research, different factors which temperature pH and the rates of chlorine in oxidized liquid have great effects on the bromine extraction. When the temperature no less than 25?, the pH about 3, the rate of chlorine in oxidized about 115%, the bromine extraction ratio is more than 85%, the production cost is lower, the economic benefits of industrial production is higher.
