Lvshunkou district is located in the southernmost tip of Liaodong peninsula, and is surrounded by sea on three sides. It has a coastline of 169.7 km, shallow sea(water depth< 40 m) and beaches of 22000 hm2, and many coastal bay mouth and reef. The unique geographical and rich habitat types make Lvshunkou district own rich biodiversity, because of which the biodiversity conservation of Lvshunkou district has an important status both at home and abroad.Based on field survey and data collection, data related to Lyshunkou district biodiversity was obtained and biodiversity assessment scheme was proposed. This paper confirmed 4 first-level indicators, namely the species richness, diversity of ecosystem types, degree of threatened species, and biodiversity protection and response; and 15 secondary indicators, namely species diversity, species distribution, number of endemic species, endemic population quantity, diversity of habitat types, naturalness of habitat, scarcity of habitat, typical of ecological system, stability of ecological system, coverage of natural ecological system, number of threatened species, species of alien species, human threat, natural reserve construction, and environmental protection investment. Combine biodiversity comprehensive evaluation method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, a kind of optimization evaluation method——fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method of biodiversity was used to evaluate the biodiversity of Lvshunkou district.20 experts were invited to make grade evaluation of biodiversity. Through the scores of each indicator scored by experts, status quo of biodiversity of Lvshunkou district was comprehensively evaluated. Results showed that the biological diversity of Lvshunkou district was of high grade, with highly abundant species, a variety of endemic genera and species, and ecosystem diversity.
