He population of the Tu nationality is relatively small compared to other 55 ethnic nationalities. The Tu nationality is also unique to the Qinghai province. It is a nationality with only languages, but with no written words. It has its unique art culture. Its clothing is very decorative, with the embroidery (disc embroidery, embossed embroidery, and flat embroidery being the main decorative elements. The simple and pure people there decorate the beautiful auspicious pattern on the clothes by wisdom, which is not only beautiful, but can bring the good wishes to all the people of Tu wearing the clothes.This paper mainly analyzes the clothing decorative art of the Tu nationality's women's clothing in the Tu Autonomous Mutual Aid County of Qinghai Province, understanding the art characteristics of the nationality, starting from the perspective of clothing decoration, through the on-the-spot investigation and research of that county and the Guanting town, Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County, Qinghai province, with the reference to large quantities of materials, literature, and pictures data, thus analyzing the artistic expression of the women's clothing of Tu nationality, as well as its unique decorative effect;Finally, it applies it in a series of innovative design and modern art design works. The clothing of the Tu nationality not only has a unique decorative artistic effect, but unique decorative techniques. Meanwhile, it also has its unique traditional history and culture, which is worthy of being passed on as a heritage.The Tu clothing has successfully applied as a state-level intangible cultural heritage in 2008, attracting many scholars to study and explore. Therefore, the author, as a local people born in the Qinghai province, has the responsibility and obligation to study these precious artistic culture legacies inherited from ancient ancestors with great concentration, thus digging out the useful decorative artistic elements, and applying these decorative elements into the modern design, which is conducive to the expansion of the development road of the decorative elements of the Tu nationality in modern clothing decorative art.
