Ming-style furniture in temper under 5,000 years of history and culture of China is a bright pearl in the history of Chinese furniture design, its scientific and rigorous structure, strict material selection, beautiful decorations and patterns, as well as " clean "and " fit " shape has been enjoyed wide popularity among people.lt records the rich traditional culture in China, and provides much Chinese furniture design source. First of all, through comparison of the development and the characteristics of the shape of the Western furniture in history,,This paper analyzes and summarizes the style of Ming-style furniture elements and components, and then explore factors on formation of style of Ming furniture. By using design as a point this paper analyzes concretely modern furniture, which draw on successfully the cases and artistic style of Ming-style furniture, concludes and summarizes related methods of contemporary Chinese furniture design. This paper studies can be divided into three parts:First, this paper analyzes the basis of Ming-style furniture. The author combs the history of Chinese traditional furniture, in what the same time make a brief introduction to the history of the Western traditional furniture. Through a comparative analysis of the Chinese and Western tradition,the author summarizes the similarity and difference on furniture shape and inspiration which them brings us.Second, on the basis of the research on Ming-style furniture in the first part, the author analyzes deeply " Form " and " color " in plastic art of the model elements and the relationship between the shape of the carding elements, and summarizes methods and regularity.Finally,the author summarizes and conclude Ming furniture design innovative ways,which can be the references of Chinese furniture design in the future.
