The Establishment Of The Standards About The Car Carpet

With the development of the industry, the car has already become an irreplaceabletransportation tools in our Daily life. The development of the automobile industry enhanced thedevelopment of the car carpet industry. However, there is no any unified standards. This problemhas led to the inefficiency of car carpet production in the automobile industry and the unevenquality of the carpet among different companies, which finally influenced the trade of the carcarpet. Therefore, it will be very meaningful to establish a widely acceptable carpet industrystandard by both automobile manufacturers and car carpet manufacturers.Firstly, the thesis analyzed various standards used by many companies at present, and foundthat there is no specific national standard for car carpet, but a few industry standards. Almost all ofcarmaker has own enterprise standards, which is relatively systematic but great different betweencompanies. However, the car carpet have little enterprise standards.Then this thesis focused on the research of the well-developed enterprise standards of theautomobile manufacture.14enterprise standards which is representative have been selected,according to the place which a car is made in, the rank of the car and which company the carbelonging to, to analyze the indicator that all of14enterprise standards involved. The PrimalFramework of the car carpet industry standard which involves five properties: appearance,physical and mechanical properties, resistance to weathering, safety performance and functionalityis established based on the principle of hierarchy and classification. The Further Framework isestablished based on the adoption rate of each indicator between the14enterprise standards andthe producing situation of the car carpet in our country.(1) The appearance;(2) The physical and mechanical properties: weight per unit area, breaking strength, tearingstrength, abrasion resistance, dimension change, tufting height and density, and peel strength;(3) The resistance to weathering: temperature resistance, colorfastness to abrasion,colorfastness to sunlight and resistance to environmental cycle.(4) The safety performance: burning behavior, fogging, formaldehyde, TVOC, smell; (5)The functionality: mold resistance, clean ability.Finally, standardized several things--make sure what section of the carpet should be thesample, what kind of methods can be used to test all sorts of defects effectively and what kind ofrequirements of the performance should be put forward while producing a car carpet by analyzingthe relevant papers, consulting some expert of doing some experiment to prove that the conclusionis true. In this thesis, some researches about the controversial and quite different part of theenterprise standards or the key performance indicators that would have an great effect on thequality of the products have been done. The conclusions about the research have been listed asfollows:(1) Needle car carpet have been graded according to the mass per unit area of the fabric layerin the carpet and Tufting carpet have been graded according to tufting density and tufted height ofthe fabric layer in the carpet.(2)The Taber method which have been used in the test of the mass per unit area, tuftingdensity and tufted height, the breaking strength, color fastness to rubbing, the fogging andabrasion resistance is executed according to the relevant standards.(3) The Schopper method which have been used in the test of the resistance to weathering,odor and abrasion resistance have been redesigned according to the other relevant standards.
