With the increasing number of submarine cables,the fault of the submarine cable in the offshore area is more and more serious because of the anchor.It is necessary to research on the protection for submarine cables.At present,the domestic submarine cables are protected by rock berm.But the width and thickness of the protective layer of the rock berm have little theoretical quantitative standards.In this paper,a series of research works is carried out to study the protection scheme for submarine cables.The main contents are as follows.1.The physical model tests are carried out to analyze the penetration depth range of the anchor and the damage condition of the protective layer.Carry out the penetration depth test to summarize the relationship between the penetration depth and the length of the fluke.Carry out the slope failure test to observe the damage of the slope under the condition of multiple anchor drags.2.A finite element numerical simulation model is established to simulate the physical model.Verify the reliability of the numerical model and carry out prototype anchor drag analysis.3.Carry out the analysis of the stress mode of the anchor in the rock berm.Give the method of calculating the penetration depth according to the anchor force.4.A scheme for the scale design of the rock berm is proposed.And the checking method of the stability of the rock berm is given.This paper studies the drag anchor movement in the rock berm.A feasible scheme for the design of the rock berm protection is proposed.
