Falling objects on the sea hit against the submarine cable is easy to make it fractured and damaged, therefore, carrying out the damage safety studies of submarine cable with mechanical shock has very important significance to guarantee the safety of seabed communication and power. In this paper, the impact probability and impact energy of the anchor are calculated under related conditions, and the collision probability and damage of the submarine cable are obtained. The finite element model of the impact photoelectric composite cable by anchors was set up by finite element numerical simulation in ABAQUS.In different anchor weight and anchor impact height, cable laying substrate, buried depth of the conditions,to calculate the strain and cross-sectional deformation of the photoelectric composite cable structure after impact by anchor,it is found that the strain and deformation trend of optical cable structure of layers are basically consistent, which can damage the outer sheath to determine the internal structure of the damage.By comparing with the single core cable impact damage,it is found that submarine cable has stronger impact resistance with simple structure and larger diameter armored wire.Through impact damage factor analysis of optical cable, found that falling weight, drop height, impact area and other factors on the impact damage of optical cable are summarized. This article reveals the light armored cable layer cross-sectional deformation by defining “impact energy density”,this method also reveals the relations of cable core deformation rates and optical cable damage,to rating the optical cable injury severity, and the optical cable damage is divided into four grades: 47.52J/cm2,84.27 J/cm2,117.82 J/cm2,149.44 J/cm2.Through the impact energy density, directly determine the damage of optical cable, determine the damage level,to provide a basis for the safety of submarine cable.
