Land use / cover change(LUCC)research is one of the hot topics and primary issues of researched on environmental change in the world and one of the core contents of land science research.Zhengzhou is a typical representative of rapid urbanization in the central plains of China economic zone.To research land use spatial and temporal evolution and land used change driving mechanism from 2000 to 2015 has important practical significance.Based on the theories and methods of land science,statistics science,remote sensing and geographic information system,this paper studied theories and methods of land use and cover change in Zhengzhou.It took the remote sensing image of 2000,2008 and 2015 as the main data sources and the land use classification map was obtained by using the object-oriented classification based on example method.The spatial and temporal evolution of land use was analyzed by a series of related indicators.This paper selected 17 indicators related to land use change from both natural and society economic aspects and the driving factors was represented by space and grid processing.The spatial overlay analysis of the three stages land use classification map was carried out by using ArcGIS to obtain the land use change map.The example points were randomly selected to generate the vector points layer,and extracted the index data separately based on the layer to establish the spatial database in order to establish GIS-Logistic coupling model to reveal the driving mechanism of land use change.Through the above research,this paper has obtained the following main conclusions:(1)This paper has selected out effective land use classification method.In this paper,the land use types of Zhengzhou are divided into five types: cultivated land,construction land,forest land,water area and the other land.By comparing the results of land use classification,this paper selected the object-oriented classification based on example method with vegetation index,water index and construction land index as the classification method.(2)This paper has revealed the characteristics of land use change in Zhengzhou.From 2000 to 2015,the study area is the main feature of the continuous reduction of cultivated land and the significant increase of construction land.The land use level of the study area is high and the land use is in the development stage.The land use change is obviously different in the study area.(3)This paper has analyzed the driving mechanism of land use change in Zhengzhou.The distance from the center of the city or the center of the county is the most important natural factors of land use change.General power of agricultural machinery,the per capita disposable income of urban residents and GDP are the main human driving factors of cultivated land change.the per capita net income of rural residents and the proportion of added value of the tertiary industry is the main human driving factors of construction land change.
