Computational electromagnetics is now widely used in the design of complex electromagnetic devices and the calculation of the electromagnetic distribution of complex electromagnetic environments.Electrically large size, electrically super-large size complex electromagnetic platform simulation and the calculation of the electromagnetic distribution of complex areas using low-frequency methods requires a lot of computing resources, the cost is high. The UTD developed by GO has a high efficiency in dealing with such problems.Compared with the low frequency method, the computational resources are small and the cost is low.The UTD has been widely used to solve the electromagnetic scattering problem of electrically large size PEC objectives as it clear concept. However,in practical engineering, such as the study of the electromagnetic signal distribution problem of urban residential buildings and the high frequency scattering of dielectric objectives,we need to use the UTD to deal with the dielectric model,so it is very necessary to research the UTD of dielectric objectives. In this paper,we first introduce the basic concept of the MOM and UTD of PEC objectives, and the MOM combined with the UTD method used in this article. The analytical solution of the high-order ray tracing of the plate model is given. The UTD solution of the scattering field of the lossless dielectric plate is expounded, and discussed the limitations. The formula is developed to solve the loss dielectric plate. On the basis of the UTD formula of PEC,the formula of the diffraction coefficient of the lossless and loss dielectric wedge is introduced. The scattering field calculated by the method of this paper fits with by MOM,which verifies the formulations. Finally, the distribution of electromagnetic signals in typical urban areas is calculated and compared with the measured data, which indicates that the method described in this paper has high engineering application value.
