In the domain of space exploration,it is an important research subject to detect the ionoshperic disturbances.With the help of High Frequency Doppler Receiver,it is a economical and effective method to observe and study ionopheric movement by using HF radio technology to detect the HF Doppler shift continuously.Firstly,this paper presents the common methods for the detection of the ionospheric disturbance,illustrates the principle of the High Frequency Doppler detection and the history of the detection technology.Secondly,the paper introduces the research and development work of the new type of Digital High Frequency Doppler Detection System from the two aspects of hardware and software to analysis the circuit design principle and the data processing method deeply.We improve and innovate the detection system on the basis of traditional methods to make it more flexible and have better performance.Finally,with the use of the detection system that has been developed successfully,we can monitor the daily variation data of the Doppler Frequency Shift continuously.We have found some typical ionospheric disturbances like sunrise effect and Travelling Ionospheric Disturbance from the recorded data,and we can analysis the features and formation mechanism of these cases with the help of their Doppler Frequency Shift curves.The result of the experiments shows that the detection system runs reliably,and can be used for the long term monitoring of the ionosphere environment.
