Sino-Russian Transboundary Aquifer in the middle and lower reaches of the Heilongjiang(Amur)River Basin is the aquifer which is shared by China and Russia.It got its name for its location.However,China and Russia haven't made joint effort to evaluate the groundwater resources.The two countries just evaluated the groundwater resources in their own territory according to their respective evaluative standards and methods.There is no agreed-upon conclusion of the scope of the aquifer since there are various views about it.The Chinese part of the aquifer has been regionalized,but no research results have been produced concerning the Russian part of it.Therefore,we should analyze and determine its scope and make regionalization analysis of its groundwater resources in order to better evaluate the volume of the groundwater resources.Based on analyzing natural geographical features and social economical features of Sino-Russian Transboundary Aquifer in the middle and lower reaches of the Heilongjiang(Amur)River Basin,this paper analyses and determines its scope,analyses groundwater resources regionalization and evaluates the volume of the groundwater resources.Results show that Sino-Russian Transboundary Aquifer in the middle and lower reaches of the Heilongjiang(Amur)River Basin locates in the eastern part of Heilongjiang(Amur)River Basin,with a total area of 27.15×10~4km~2.The Chinese part is 10.89×10~4km~2,while the Russian part is 16.26×10~4km~2.It can be divided into six groundwater evaluative zones according to hydrogeological conditions,four surface water zones according to surface water conditions,four administrative zones according to administrative regionalization.It gets 18 coupling zones after coupling.The average-year groundwater resources is 219.43×10~8m~3 after deducting 15.26×10~8m~3groundwater inner repeated computation.The Chinese part is 85.56×10~8m~3,while the Russian part is 133.87×10~8m~3.
