Shallow geothermal energy with characteristics of wide distribution,large reserves and mining easily,is a clean renewable energy stored in the form of heat below 200 m below 25 ?,which has been used in many places by Ground Source Heat Pump(GSHP).GSHP as a highly efficient energy-saving HVAC(Heating,ventilation and air condition)technology has been used widely in China.In recent years,Chinese government continue to promote the reform of energy supply system,and the policies about development of geothermal energy development and utilization is formulated and promulgated in 13 rd Five Year Schedule.These phenomena indicate that GSHP will enter another round of rapid development stage.Therefore,how to develop and utilize shallow geothermal energy scientifically and rationally becomes the primary task to ensure the sustainable use of resources.Henan Province is in a period of rapid economic development.With the acceleration of urban construction and the improvement of residents' living quality,construction energy consumption is increasing dramaticly year by year.Air conditioning refrigeration in summer and central heating in winter are two relatively large parts in building energy consumption.Through the GSHP using shallow geothermal energy to achieve indoor cooling and heating can effectively alleviate the pressure on building energy supply,decrease consumption of conventional energy and reduce pollutant emissions.In this paper,the status of shallow geothermal energy resources in Henan Province including the characteristics of shallow geothermal energy in Henan Province and its suitability partition evaluation are investigated.This paper also summarizes the comprehensive performance test methods and evaluation methods of GSHP system application program.We choose a case to investigate GSHP's energy-saving profits,environment profits and economic profits in practical application by collecting data,performed statistical analysis and making comparision with the conventional cooling and heating program.Finally,this paper analyze the present situations of shallow geothermal energy utilization in Henan Province,elaborate the existing problems and forecast the future development trend.The potential of shallow geothermal energy utilization in Henan Province is analyzed by scenario analysis method.The results show that the shallow geothermal energy resources in Henan Province are abundant,and the suitable area for the groundwater source heat pump is mainly distributed in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain,the piedmont sloping plains,basins and the tributary valleys.The suitable area for ground heat pump system is mainly distributed in Alluvial and alluvial plains in the central and eastern parts of Henan Province.The evaluation results of a GSHP case in Henan Province show that the EER is 5.51,the EER is 3.37 and system energy efficiency rating is 3 in summer.In winter,the COP is 5.1,COP is 3.47 and system energy efficiency rating is 2.The amount of annual conventional energy replacementannual energy replacement is 133.75 tons of standard coal and the amount of reduce emissions of CO2,SO2,TSP is 330.36 tons,2.68 tons and 1.34 tons,respectively.Compared with the conventional cooling and heating program,the annual cost savings is 896,900 yuan,the overall operation is good.Based on the results of the scenario analysis,with the current building energy intensity and the development rate of shallow geothermal energy utilization,the total building energy consumption will be about 74.2 million tons of standard coal and shallow geothermal energy utilization area will be about 69 million Square meters in 2020 in Henan Province.The government needs to strengthen the application of renewable energy policy strength,and further promote the application of shallow geothermal energy.In summary,the results of this paper can provide the reference for the application and development of Henan's shallow layer geothermal,and give a comprehensive evaluation of GSHP.The results is convenient for policy makers,industry managers and market practitioners to understand the current situations of shallow geothermal energy utilization in Henan Province,and make contributions to developing shallow geothermal energy scientifically and sustainably.
