Henan province is a major agricultural province in China,which is part of the core production area of grain,and the amount of groundwater for irrigation in some areas has exceeded the annual supply.Xinxiang is an important part of the central plain urban cluster,its planning and development is inseparable from water resources.YuanWu-BaoChang water source is one of the important water source for planning and construction in Xinxiang city.In order to exploit and utilize the groundwater resources scientifically and rationally,and avoid the problems of hydrogeology and environmental geology,it has very important practical significance to simulate and evaluate groundwater resources.With YuanWu-BaoChang water source as the object of the research in this paper,water balance method and numerical simulation technique were used to evaluate the groundwater resources.Besides,F value and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were compared to evaluate the groundwater quality,the main results were as follows:(1)In order to evaluate the groundwater resources,water balance method was used to make the equilibrium analysis of groundwater system,recharge and discharge amount of groundwater in current year,typical years and average annual conditions were calculated.Exploitation coefficient method was used to evaluate the groundwater exploitation potential in this area.The result showed that the average annual exploitation of the area is less than the allowable exploitation quantity,and there is still certain exploitation potential.(2)Based on the analysis of drilling data and hydrogeological conditions in the study area,generalizing the aquifer,lateral boundary and vertical border,the groundwater flow numerical model was established,and estimate-correction method was applied to the model identification and verification.With identified model,flow field changes and drawdown could be predicted after 10 years mining plan in YuanWu-BaoChang water source.(3)the F value and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were compared to evaluate the groundwater quality in the study area.Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method could give different weights according to the situation of each evaluation factor measured concentrations exceed the standard,and take into account other factors in the evaluation of outstanding pollution indicators under the premise,which overcame the lack of F value and had more rationality and objectivity.
