Mt.Laotudingzi was widely distributed with a certain area of the ancient periglacial landforms in Liaoning easten mountains, and the soil environment plays an important role in the growth of vegetation and the stability of the environmental stability of the ancient periglacial landforms.Based on this, this paper selects the development of Mt.Laotudingzi ancient periglacial landforms of the 4 vegetation types of the surface soil as the research object, which are deciduous broad-leaved forest, theropencedrymion, dark coniferous forest and meadow thicket.Using field investigation, laboratory testing and quantitative analysis of the combination of research methods, based on the 10 block sample to of survey and test data, the system reveals the characteristics and differences of soil properties, litter stock and nutrient reserves under different vegetation types, and quantitative analysis of the relationship between soil properties and litter. The results are as follows:(1)Mt.Laotudingzi ancient periglacial landform of different vegetation types on soil surface temperature is 19.47~22.4?,the compactness is 8.08~17.45kg/cm2,the specific gravity is 2.44~2.63g/cm3,the bulk density is 0.53~0.72g/cm3.The total porosity is 38.40%~43.66%,capillary porosity accounted for 58.21%~72.29%,non capillary pores accounted is 27.71%~41.79%.The natural water content is 16.70%~23.60%,hygroscopic water content is 5.34%~7.07%,the maximum water holding capacity is 534.12~810.79g/kg,the non capillary water capacity is 148.34~345.06g/kg,capillary water capacity is 385.78~488.71g/kg,field capacity is 244.57~291.10g/kg.The variation coefficients of soil physical properties were weak or moderate variability, which indicated that the physical properties of the surface soil layers were different in different vegetation types. In comparison, meadow thicket soil surface temperature is higher, the proportion of capillary pores is large, and the water storage capacity is stronger.Theropencedrymion soil specific gravity is small, loose degree is good. The soil moisture of theropencedrymion and deciduous broad-leaved forest conducive to plant growth, water conservation and soil and water conservation function is better.(2)Mt.Laotudingzi ancient periglacial landform of different vegetation types on soil p H is 4.49~5.44,which belongs to the acid leaching soil, electrical conductivity is 54.60~56.73ms/m,organic matter is 17.77%~25.67%.The soil contains a variety of oxides,Si O2,CO2 and Al2O3 content is higher. The variation coefficients of soil chemical properties were weak or moderate variability, which indicated that the chemical properties of soils in different vegetation types were different. In comparison, dark coniferous forest soil acidity is stronger and theropencedrymion soil organic matter content is higher.(3)The amount of litter in four vegetation types of Mt.Laotudingzi ancient periglacial landform was 25.71,15.33,9.61 and 10.00 t/hm2,litter layer thickness were 7.13,6.97,6.07,6.97 cm.Litter nutrient-rich,C and N content is more uniform, the coefficient of variation of the rest litter belongs to moderate variability, indicating that the difference of litter characteristics under different vegetation types was obvious. In comparison, there are more litter in deciduous broad-leaved forest and theropencedrymion.(4)The correlation analysis showed that there was a clear quantitative relationship between soil properties and litter stock and nutrient reserves, indicating that the interaction between litter and soil in different vegetation types was obvious.
