In the paper,the range of sinking sandy land was delimited according to remote sensing interpretation indoor and field confirmation.We select 27 point to conducting investigations about vegetation quadrat and soil profile and utilized the results to make evalution about the eco-environmental vulnerability.According to the connotation of SRP model,combinde with the characteristics of sinking sandy land,this paper select 14 indicators such as soil erosion intensity,normalized differential vegetation index,elevation etc.as a index system to calculate the eco-environmental vulnerability index.The weight of each index was calculated by a complex method which combinded with the virtus of analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and principle component analysis(PCA).According to the calculation result(eco-environmental index),the reserach area is devided into 5 categories:Slighe Vulnerable,Mild Vulnerable,Moderately Vulnerable,Severe Vulnerable,Extremely Vulnerable.The main conclusions in this paper are sa follows:1.This paper draw a rough range of sinking sandy land by remote sensing interpretation.By the way of fielding verification to confirm the range of sinking sandy land accurately and establishing the sinking sandy land interpretation key.The sinking sandy land distributesd in the east of the Abaga county,most area of Xilihot,the northerm of the Xiwu county,the southern and midland of the Dongwu county.2.According to the calculation result(eco-environmental index),the reserach area is devided into 5 categories:Slighe Vulnerable,Mild Vulnerable,Moderately Vulnerable,Severe Vulnerable,Extremely Vulnerable.The proportion which they accountde for the survey area are as follows:10.72%,27.56%,32.91%,24.36%,4.45%.3.The region of Slighe Vulnerable and Mild Vulnerable mainly distributed in the southeast of the survey area where have excellent water condition and growth the tempertate meadow steppe.In consequence,the ecosystem stability and resiliency are excellent.The region of Extremely Vulnerable mainly distributes in partical of Abaga county and the saline-alkalized land in the surroundings of Wulagai reservior.In addition,the region of Extremely Vulnerable distributes sporadically in a few of large-scale mine lot.The former which was Extremely Vulnerable was due to the influence of natural factors such as landform,weather conditions,the degenetation of plant community and the latter was due to the influence of artificial factors.
