Taking the wetland plants quadrats' findings of the middle reaches of the Yellow River(Yumenkou to the Fen River estuary)as basic data, this study summarized progress in Shanxi river wetland plant diversity, analyzed the study of wetland plant community classification, species diversity, taxonomy diversity and functional diversity characteristics, compared the correlativity among taxonomic diversity index, functional diversity index and conventional biological diversity index, and explained the ecological significance of taxonomic diversity index and functional diversity index. This study further completed and improved the results of the study of biological diversity on the middle reaches of the Yellow River wetland on,having a positive meaning to strengthening plant diversity conservation on the middle reaches of the Yellow River wetland. The results obtained are as follows:1.Thirteen typical wetland sites located between Yumenkou and the Fenhe River estuary in the middle reaches of the Yellow River were investigated aiming at species ecology. Results showed that a total of 75 species belonging to 61genera,23 families,18 orders,3 classes and 2 phyla. At the phylum level,73 species were mainly distributed in Angiospermae. At the class level,57 species were mainly distributed in Dicotyledons. At the family level,36 species were mainly distributed in Leguminosae,Compositae and Gramineae. At the genus level,12 species were mainly distributed in Chenopodium,Lespedeza,Artemisi and Typha.Life form spectrum characteristics of plants is that a year or two plants is the most, chamaephytes, hemicryptophytes and geophytes plant takes the second place. The ecological characteristics is that mesophyte is the most, hygrophyte takes the second place, salt tolerant plants and salt tolerant mesophyte is the least.2.Using TWINSPAN classification on the middle reaches of the Yellow River wetland plants are classified into 15 associations.3.Plant species diversity was studied by using average taxonomic distinctness(?+)and variation in taxonomic distinctness(?+),and the expected value of ?+ and ?+ were 84.25 and 425.43,respectively.Using bivariate analytical method to analyze average taxonomic distinctness(?+)and variation in taxonomic distinctness(?+)together, results showed that the expected value of S12 located at the estuary of the Fenhe River is the lowest, while the expected values of S8,S9 and S10 are higher, which showed that the taxonomic diversity index of species was larger and the distribution of species was more uniform in plot S12,while they showed the opposite from plot S8 to plot S10.On 15 taxonomic diversity of plant associations characteristic analysis showed,?+?+ and theoretical averages of 84.56 and 290.36;bivariate analysis using the?+?+ and conduct portfolio analysis, associations A1,A2 expectations largest associations A7 minimum expectations.Pearson test results showed that the average taxonomic distinctness(?+),variation in taxonomic distinctness(?+)and the Shannon-Wiener index,Pielou index,Simpson index and Patrick index have no correlation(P>0.05).4.By using FAD1 index,FDp index,FDc index,FRic index,FEve index,Rao index and FDis index, the functional diversity of wetland plants in the middle reaches of the Yellow River was studied. The results showed that the functional richness of sample S2 was the lowest, the functional richness of sample S1 was the highest, and the functional evenness of sample S2 was lowest, and the function of sample S4 was highest, and the function of sample S2 was lower;the functional richness of group A2 was lowest, the functional richness of group A1 was the highest, the functional uniformity of group A6 was lowest, and the function of group A8 was highest, and the function of group A6 was lower.FAD1,FDp index is positively correlated with Simpson index, and negatively correlated with Shannon-Wiener index;FDc index,FEve index and Simpson index is negatively correlated with the positive correlation of Shannon-Wiener index;FDis index and Simpson index are negatively correlated.5.Using principal component analysis to analyze the 13 diversity indices of 13 species and 15 populations of the wetland in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, shows that the first principal component is the FDp index, the second principal component is a index, the third principal component is the Patrick index.6.The number of the middle reaches of the Yellow River wetland-species unevenly distributed;the species evenness, functional uniformity and functional dispersion of middle reaches of the Yellow River wetland are poor.Propose the following measures against the above threats:the establishing the middle reaches of the Yellow River Wetland Nature Reserve, reducing appropriately water conservancy facilities of the upper reaches of the Yellow River and further strengthen the study of wetland plant communities and environmental factors in the middle reaches of the Yellow River.
