According to properties of atoms in plasma environment, the relation between Stark-broadening for hydrogen line and electric field of lightning plasma is derived.Based on the electric field distribution in lightning discharge channel performed by Borovsky,the relationships between the radial electric field near the channel and vertical electric field are derived, the results shows that the Stark-broadening for hydrogen mainly caused by radial electric field near the channel. Then, the relationship between vertical electric field and current are obtained based on the formulas of particle transport in plasma. On the basis of above relationships, a spectrum of lightning discharge channel between cloud and ground captured by a shitless spectrograph in Qinghai Province are analyzed, it shows that the vertical electric field of lightening are in the range of 3.29kV/m to4.10 kV/m,radial electric field near the channel are in the range of 5.49×104kV/m to 6.84×104kV/m. The strength of electric current are in the range of 29.76 kA to37.16 kA, the current and electric field decrease with increasing channel height, the transmission of current along the lightning discharge channel in good accord with the result of Lin Model.
