This article explore the Vetiveria zizanioides in the characteristic of soil and drought resistance of highway slope protection and solid and start exploration of V. zizanioides test in the study area. Combined with the field investigation of the desertification area in Poyang Lake and based on the wetland research and preliminary study of V. zizanioides planting, we can analysis of the existing problems in the growth of pine forest in the study area. From February 2015 to March 2016, monthly in the desertification land in Poyang Lake demonstration zone has been set in the plots of. In the growing season(February- September), we monitoring the indicators of V. zizanioides growth(height, tiller number). In the late of V. zizanioides growth(at the end of September), additional growth indicators were measured(e.g., blade width, the longest root, the number of new, etc.). Through the different lake scale of demonstration area, set different example party(near, far, centered, and the control group) to analysis the different index of V. zizanioides on growth and biomass. And analyze its impact on the ecological environment. The conclusions are drawn as follow.The influence of environment on the growth of V. zizanioides:(1)V. zizanioides' s adaptability is stronger in the studied area, the pinus is more suitable for poor areas as pioneer species in Poyang Lake in arid environment, but the area growth gap is more obvious than desertification.(2)At the beginning of the planting soil temperature, water content and soil elements under the condition of no significant difference, the growth V. zizanioides planting in the study area have certain differences in time and space. From the lake scale V. zizanioides height has no obvious difference. Not because of the distance from the lake change minor factors affect the level indicator. By different distance scales, tiller number close to the distance from the lake there is a growing trend. Cutting can increases the number of V. zizanioides tiller. Tillering reproduction method is conducive to the growth of the tiller number. But it will hinder V. zizanioides height growth. Closed to the lake is beneficial for the V. zizanioides and root-shoot ratio. Far or near to the lake, has small extent on the change of environment and index of V. zizanioides.(3)The factor of affection of the growth of V. zizanioides plant height and tillering is wind, next is temperature and rainfall, and the trend of effect from near to far of lake is significant downward. From microscopic factor, it seems, the local species will settle to a certain extent to improve the living environment. Microscopic environment for the growth of V. zizanioides there is a positive feedback relationship; Terrain factors did not significantly affect the growth of V. zizanioides.V. zizanioides on the benefit of the environment:(1) V. zizanioides have certain adjustment of soil temperature and can effectively reduce the coefficient of variation; The differences V. zizanioides grow did not has a significant effect on soil temperature changes.(2) In terms of average annual soil water content, soil moisture content was significantly higher than that of bare land and from near to far from lake is a growth trend. In terms of years the soil coefficient of variation, is more than bare landand the soil layer?In all kinds of different time point 0-80 cm soil depth, Soil water content at the end of march only bare below V. zizanioides area, other areas are more consistent. V. zizanioides in the interception of rainfall and after 6 hours is having some effect, shorten rainfall infiltration depth and V. zizanioides planted.(3) V. zizanioides to keep the increase of soil nutrient and has the obvious effect, mowing landfill treatment and mowing placed have significant influence to the content of soil organic matter that were higher than control group in bare land and before cutting processing. Including landfill treatment effect is superior to the places and with the distance from the lake, soil organic matter content is on the rise. V. zizanioides on soil nitrogen keep role to a certain extent, but absorbs and reduce phosphorus content in soil.
