With the rapid development of solar and wind power generation, the assessment of wind power and photoelectric resources value has played a crucial role. But the researches on the value of wind power and photoelectric resources focus on rationality of construction, other factors are not considered. New energy power plants are usually built in underdeveloped areas, local consumption is generally not. It need send to load concentrated areas through long-distance transmission lines. However, the volatility of a single wind and PV is likely to cause various problems for long distance transmission network. The instability of each wind power and photovoltaic output increases the transmission service costs and restrict their development.Compared with single PV or wind power generation, wind energy and solar energy have better complementary characteristics in space and seasons. The complementary system of wind and solar can make the output more stable and increase the acceptance of the transmission network to the random new energy electric power. The use of complementarity can effectively improve the economy of new energy power generation.The topic of effects on transmission service price of power network caused by the complementary of wind and solar energy has been studied in this paper. Firstly, the background and significance of the research were elaborated, the development of the power market was analyzed and the research status of the wind solar hybrid power generation system and transmission service price were introduced. The characteristics of wind energy and solar energy were discussed and their complementary characteristics are studied based on the characteristics of wind power generation and photovoltaic power output. The components and allocation method of transmission service cost were analyzed. The effects of wind power or photoelectric on the cost of reserve capacity and transmission equipment were studied. Secondly, the function expression of transmission service price considering renewable energy grid was proposed.Comparing the price of transmission service before and after the wind and solar energy complementary by solving, it was pointed out that the complementary of wind and solar energy can effectively reduce the price of transmission services. The complementary methods to be usedwere discussed in the planning stage and completed stage of wind and solar complementary power station. Finally, the validity of the theory is verified by the calculation of an example system. The economic impact on power transmission service prices caused by the combination of wind and solar energy had been analyzed from the view of generating capacity, which had provide references for measuring the value of solar and wind energy resources.
