Research On Perishable Goods Supply Chain Inventory Based On System Dynamics Simulation

In the process of supply chain management, the level of the supply chain in each node of the inventory level not only directly affects the overall level of inventory in the supply chain, but also have an influence on the whole supply chain corresponding time, profit, total cost and supply chain overall performance. Supply chain management is to meet the customers’ needs and to ensure the level of service provided on all aspects of integrated supply chain management, it can effectively integrate the physical flow, information flow and capital flow of the whole supply chain, so as to achieve supply chain fluctuations in the demand and inventory into the minimization, profit maximization. But a lot of inventory theory only studies the inventory reduction due to the consumer’s demand for goods, and does not consider the impact of the deterioration of the goods for the inventory. Perishable commodities can be found everywhere in real life, their shelf life is very short and easy to decay and deterioration. This part of the deterioration of the goods on the impact of inventory is not negligible.This paper, according to the system dynamics and supply chain theory, combined with the characteristics of perishable goods, applied system dynamics simulation software Vensim software build system internal elements of causal loop diagram, cause and effect diagram and then establish system flow chart based on in the causal loop diagram and causality diagram.Combined with real life in the common random fluctuations in demand, pulse fluctuations in demand and order step fluctuations in demand to construct a system dynamics model,and analyze the impact of these fluctuations on the supply chain suppliers and retailers stock inventory through the system simulation results.This paper in the random fluctuations in demand model simulation test the commodity price fluctuations and metamorphic rate or delay in transit and production delays variables of supply chain supplier and retailer inventory and inventory of the whole supply chain effect.Purpose of the paper is to study dynamics of perishable goods supply chain model by applying the system, and through the model to analysis reveals some perishable goods supply chain variable factors on the supply chain suppliers and retailers inventory for supply chain optimization provide an important reference for decision-making.
