The competitive advantage of enterprises formed in the market originates from the construction of core competitiveness. To become bigger and stronger under conditions of informatization and to maintain long-term competitive advantages, enterprises must improve the mechanisms of management and innovation and enhance R&D capabilities. With the development of the shale gas revolution and accelerated urbanization process in China, pipeline construction is entering a booming period, and pipe fittings industry has also entered a period of rapid growth. After years of development in the domestic market, SL Pipe Fittings Company has initially formed its own core competitiveness. In the face of expansion and new market development, what factors contributed to the development of its competitive advantage and what factors restricted the development of the company are questions SL Pipe Fittings Company needs to explore.SL Pipe Fittings Company is the largest pipe fittings manufacturer in North Shandong Province. Based on the market of Shengli Oilfield, the company actively expands the domestic market, and has become one of the few producers of high-end pipes in China. In this paper, Michael Porter’s Five Competitive Analysis, SWOT Matrix, Delphi Method and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method are employed to analyze the company’s core competitiveness according to the company’s development status of SL, and to sum up the level of the company’s core competitiveness. Based on analysis of factors influencing the company’s core competitiveness and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, the paper proposes four targeted measures to upgrade the company’s core competitiveness, in the expectation that it will provide reference for the company’s future development and contribute to the company’s efforts in obtaining its development goals.
