With the increasing global economic uncertainties and adjustment in the domestic market, the requirements for enterprise management have been continuously raised in the furniture industry environment. Thus, a number of furniture manufacturing companies are facing a great challenge to sustainable development. How to make an invincible position in the new market environment and how to maintain sustainable competitive advantage in the fierce competition, which have become two important subjects, a number of furniture manufacturing enterprises have to face.Core competitiveness is the source of sustainable competitive advantage for enterprises, which is of great practical significance for the furniture manufacturing enterprises in China. As we know that the Chinese furniture industry output value was2.9billion Yuan in1985, but to835billion Yuan in2010. The shortage economy has brought out a great number of successful local furniture enterprises. They got started from zero to garden plants. The market opportunities supported their high-speed development and the rapid development had created a miracle in the world furniture industry. Through the development path of China’s domestic furniture industry is not difficult to find out that the growth of a number of furniture companies are dependent on market opportunities rather than the core competitiveness of enterprises. In times of shortage economy, enterprises didn’t need to take the market into consider as they were competitive. However, with over production of the furniture industry and the increasing consumer demand, and with business operations costs continue to increase and the market goes into downstream channel, the turnovers of many famous furniture manufacturing enterprises rapid declined. In some enterprises, even Staff salaries couldn’t be paid on time. The market competitive advantage had been greatly weakened. We have to come to a realization that an era of full competition has arrived. The enterprises must recognize their corporate environment, know itself, enhance the core competitiveness of enterprise according to its own characteristics, comprehensive and timely, and strive in the core areas of products, market and team management, use the right methods, scientifically planning, and actively practice the medium and long-term strategy to enhance the core competitiveness, Only by doing so, the continuity of the enterprise can be ensured.Firstly, the article has inherited theories from the predecessors, and has elaborated the concept of core competitiveness and has built up a theoretical framework of identification for core competitiveness, which will help guiding business management practices. The second part starts with the enterprise itself and its environment. By describing and analyzing of the status of the X-furniture company’s core competitiveness, it has stated the root of the enterprise difficulties are caused by the weakening of its core competitiveness. The third part focuses on the ideas and strategies of enhancing core competitiveness for the X-furniture company, and reasonably sets up the goals to be achieved. The middle and long-term selection and implementation strategies have been made, particularly the detailed planning of how to enhance their core business activities in covered market, products, people, brand innovation capability. Meanwhile, to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, it also has described the long-term strategy must rely on corporate strategic management. The fourth part begins with the guarantee measures to enhance enterprise core competitiveness. It has elaborated the importance of staff awareness, resource allocation, and performance appraisal; By creating execution conditions, the execution is possible to be carried out.
