Research On The Relationship Between Internet Banking And Traditional Banking In China

This essay shows the competition between internet finance and tradtional finance in their liability business, asset business and intermediary business. By using SWOT analysis, author demostrates advantage, weakness, opportunity and threat between those two industries and found a strong complementary relationship. Through the case of Pingan Bank, the author shows the positive effect of the relationship and makes recommendations under the new economy environment. Internet finance should try to improve their roles in the market and fasten the establishment of their safe operation system to aim at further development. Traditional finance should update their phylosophy of development and enbrace the challenge. By fully utilizing their current rersources, they should try to set up new operating type and create new managment methods so as to adapt to the new environment.
