International Trade PSI Business Process Optimization Based On Lean Six Sigma Theory

It is a research hotspot to apply IE related knowledge and methods, which is originated from manufacturing industry, in other areas in recent years. Some researches have showed that those knowledge and methods have been applied in hospital management and financial management. Lean six sigma theory (LSS theory) is the integration of Lean production theory and Six sigma theory, which is also called the effective combination of two classical IE theories, and it is becoming increasingly important in recent years and has been applied in various areas, but in the third-party inspection business, especially in PSI business, it has not been applied yet.This paper focus on the improvement and application of Lean six sigma theory in PSI business, analyzing the traditional PSI business process, applying improved lean six sigma theory in this whole business process, bringing up lean six sigma PSI business process system and proposing future development of PSI business in the third-party companies based on the analyzing result in this paper.Firstly, this paper introduces the lean production theory, six sigma theory and lean six sigma theory, which is the combination of those two theories. After that, it makes a literature review on the development and application of this theory from external and internal perspectives, clears the research status in this area and makes an academic preparation for its application in international trade PSI business.Secondly, this paper analyses the international trade PSI business process, clears the business and process status, relocates and divides the customers. At the same time, it defines and analyses the value and value stream, which are reflected in the current value stream map.After that, this paper improves the lean six sigma theory based on. the current situation of PSI business process, which is implemented from the aspects of method framework and stage so that it can conform to the actual requirement of PSI business. At the same time, it creates the lean six sigma PSI business process system of international trade and draws the future value stream map. That directs the implementation of the process system. It also brings up evaluation method of this business process. Afterwards, this paper applies the research result in the case of X company. It optimizes and design X company’s PSI business process according to the improved lean six sigma theory and method. It also designs and evaluates X company’s lean six sigma PSI business process system. At last, this paper draws the conclusions and insufficiences from the aspect of whole text.
