Our country is in the key stage of transformation and updating economy structure. The requirements of technologies for part components are required with high level in terms of the whole industry promotion and upgrade. As spring is basic but key part in some applications, it plays significantly role in most industries. China is becoming more and more important in the world, and there are many attracted opportunities. To make a great development strategy for Chinese market is one of the most important tasks for many global companies.SMC group started its business from 1960s. After 50 years development it has become the leader of making wave spring and retaining ring. Wave spring offers the unique advantage of space saving when used to replace coil spring. Thanks to its unique advantages in technology and management, SMC group gained amazing success in European and American markets. But it just started its business not long time ago in China. SMC group invested and set up a subsidiary of SMC Spring Co., in Tianjin in 2014 in order to continually provide high level product and service to Chinese customers, as well expand the portion of Chinese market.It is very necessary for SMC Spring Co., to think how to use SMC group’s advantages of technology and management, and root SMC group’s stragegies in China, to develop its business in such huge and full of competitions market and gain another success, which is the hot and urgent task for SMC management.The article will be started from its mission and vision based on its history and the current external and internal situation, study its management strategy in China.Based on the studying of Strategy Management theory the article covers the history and culture of the company, analysis internal and external enviroment, finds out the weakness and strengths of SMC Spring Co., finally makes the development strategy of the company. In terms of the studying and analysis the strategies of development strategy focused on strengths and differential competition stragety will be suitable for the company, which can relieve conflicts in short term and keep the company health developing continually.
