Research Into The Development Strategies Of Zhengzhou General Aviation Test Zone

General aviation industrial parks are being pushed forward by numerous countries around the world at an accelerating rate due to their functions of key driving forces and effective carriers of the industry growth. Still an emerging industry in China, the general aviation industry lacks established routes to follow in terms of the construction and development of its industrial parks, in particular park planning, industry orientation, and development strategies, where various problems and difficulties remain to be solved. Therefore it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the favourable circumstances of and obstacles to the construction of the general aviation industrial parks and discusses the development strategies of Zhengzhou General Aviation Test Zone in the light of its specific circumstances.On the basis of analyzing the present research on the general aviation industry and the present situations of industrial parks from home and abroad, with the status quo of Zhengzhou General Aviation Test Zone as its starting point, and with SWOT analytical method, this paper studies the strengths and weaknesses and formulates development strategies of the test zone, specifies the strategic goals, function orientation, key sectors, and development routes of the test zone, and puts forward supporting measures for its strategic implementation.The study concludes as follows:There exist obvious advantages as well as disadvantages to the growth of Zhengzhou General Aviation Test Zone, thus in order to obtain strategic policy resources, superior resources are to be integrated according to the major market demand; geographic advantages are to be fully utilized so as to explore market resources and promote core competence; and revolving the strategic goal of building the test zone into a highly efficient, integrated, and comprehensive world-class industrial base for general aviation development strategies, lay down the strategy of the establishment of a cooperative alliance, the strategy of the proactive construction of relevant infrastructures, the strategy of integration, and the strategy of differentiated developments, whose implements will further improve and upgrade the comprehensive carrying and serving capabilities of the test zone, race ahead with its establishment as a hub and base for general aviation in central China, and greatly enhance the competence of Shangjie General Aviation Airport as a hub airport of general aviation in central China, in a bid to build Zhengzhou General Aviation Test Zone into a national-wide operation base of business aircrafts, a host to AOPA-China Fly-In, and China’s first-class general aviation industrial park.
