DQ is one of the three major power generation equipment manufacturing base in China. Its main industrial orientation is the production of the conventional thermal power, nuclear power and gas generator set, and its product market share is in the front of the industry. In recent years, with the rapid development of electric power industry and more and more intense domestic and international market competition, to cultivate high-quality technical workers, is the real needs and the most effective method of achieving the DQ company’s strategic goal of "Develop clean and efficient energy and build a world-class enterprise ".To improve the skill level of workers most objective fair and effective way is the occupation skill appraisal.This paper explores the feasibility and operability of letting each session of professional skill appraisal include in the project quality management through the conformity research of their basic features. Using the 6th DQ company’s session of senior workers’professional skill appraisal as the research object, via the deep analysis to the generating reason of some outstanding quality problems in the process of implementing previous appraisals, the paper explains shortcomings and the insufficiency of previous professional skill appraisals. According to the systemic analysis and research, the paper puts forward the specific plan of using the project quality management method to manage and implement the professional skill appraisal, uses it in the 6th DQ company’s session of senior workers’professional skill appraisal, and achieves good results.Applying the basic idea of the project quality management, combining with DQ company’s reality, this paper puts forward the project management plan of the professional skill appraisal which conforms to project management features and has enterprise’s own characteristics. The thought of the plan is novelty and has a certain amount of practical guiding significance.This paper contains five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, introduces the paper’s object of study and the current status. The second chapter is the theoretical review, generally explains the theoretical basis of the paper’s research. The third chapter mainly conducts deep research and analysis of existing problems in company’s previous professional skill appraisals and points out the insufficiency of previous professional skill appraisals. The fourth chapter introduces the practice of using project quality management in the 6th session of senior workers’professional skill appraisal. The last is the paper’s conclusion.The effect of the practice shows that using systemic and comprehensive project quality management theory as the principle to guide the 6th session of senior workers’professional skill appraisal, it has obvious improvements in terms of the quality control, effectively avoids the problem and deficiency of previous professional skill appraisals, and actively promotes the skill appraisal project to strictly to be controlled and to achieve the goal. As a result, the professional skill appraisal can better play the effect of promoting DQ company’s development.
