The enterprise pension system is an important part of the multi-level endowment insurance system being built and improved in China, which is an important supplement to our basic endowment insurance. The enterprise pension system is the welfare safeguard project provided for employees by the enterprise and is also the important motivation means to attract and stabilize key personnel, which is called “the second mainstay” of the endowment insurance. After the “Enterprise Pension Trial Rules” was formally implemented in 2004, the enterprise pension system was getting more and more favors and high expectations. However, the promotion of the enterprise pension system has never achieved the originally desired results and its pay-as-you-go mode makes it is still too high to be popular even though lasting 11 years and there are only about 6.7% of the workers to share pension dividends.Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Corporation Co. Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Shentong Group”) was established after reconstitution in June 2004, its total assets exceeding 200 billion yuan, nearly 30,000 employees, more than 10 million daily passenger flow volume, which bears the investment, construction and operation management and some other functions of Shanghai Rail Transit and has the longest operating mileage, the largest enterprise scale and the most sound management system. As the trail transit enterprise, there also exist "work pressure", "comparatively low average wage" "high attrition rate" and other characteristics of the industry, which led to the lack of proper business attraction and cohesion for Shentong Group and made the firm face many unstable factors. However, the enterprise pension system as welfare safeguard and effective means to attract and motivate employees in the enterprise is playing an active and steady role. Based on this background, it is no doubt of great significance for Shentong Group on its own to improve the enterprise pension system and to optimize the enterprise pension scheme, which can also provide advanced experience and reliable basis for other companies within the field of rail transit.In the thesis, the concept of the enterprise pension is introduced, the development processes of China’s Enterprise Pension and the corresponding policies in different periods of history are combed, the current situation of China’s Enterprise Pension’s development and implementation issues are analyzed and the urgency and necessity of enterprise pension system are discussed. The thesis takes the enterprise pension system of Shentong Group for the study and a questionnaire survey of 300 enterprise employees is made and the current situation and problems of implementation of the system are in-depth analysis. On the basis of qualitative research, the level of security contributions and the annuity to be achieved of Shentong Group are quantitatively worked out by utilizing Cobb Douglas function model and cash flow model, and then Eviews, Matlab and other software, and the current situation, reasonable recommendations and optimization measures are put forward for the development and improvement of the endowment insurance system of Shentong Group corporate pension system.
