Research On The Promoting Effect Of Performance Excellence Model On Enterprise Competitiveness

Under the background of globalization of information and economic integration, enterprises are facing increasingly complex competitive environment. As competition intensifies, How to further enhance their level of Quality Management, and to achieve continuous progress, and then enhance the competitiveness of enterprises finally has been concerned by the theory scholars and business senior leaders increasingly, the Performance Excellence Model is one of the world’s most recognized effective evaluation standards to enhance the competitiveness that originally proposed by the United States, and currently it has been promulgated in over 80 countries and regions. Its core is a customer-oriented, focusing result, and it pursues excellent management and continuous improvement and innovation. In the past Second China Quality Award Conference, Prime Minister Li Keqiang made important instructions,he believes that the quality of development is the base of power,the nature of career, and the core of transformation. However we regard it as Quality Award assessment tools, Performance Excellence Model has played an increasingly important role,and different industries gradually implement Performance Excellence Model to diagnosis companies all-around, so as to pursue continuous excellence and improvement.This research is mainly based on criteria of Performance Excellence Model Implementation(GB / Z 19579-2012), referring to the core values of Performance Excellence Model, combining with the horizontal topic of enterprise, aims to explore the promoting effect of Performance Excellence Model on enterprise competitiveness. Firstly, we interviewed ten morecompanies.Secondly,we made the scale according to interviews and the preparation, thereby performing sample prediction. Lastly, we formed 21 questions and eight variablesto get on formal questionnaire interviews of national componies.This research is mainly made by semi-structured interviews and questionnaires to explore the following two questions: 1.Research on the promoting effect of Performance Excellence Model on enterprise competitiveness.2.Key activities(This article refers to Strategic Performance Management and Organizational Learning and Improving) made intermediary role between Performance Excellence Model and the enterprises competitiveness. Eventually, we reached the following two conclusions:1. The five key elements of Performance Excellence Model(except resource element), leadership, strategy, customers and markets as well as process management,which all improves enterprise competitiveness.2.As one of the key activities that enterprise imports Performance Excellence Model, Strategic Performance Management plays complete mediation between strategy as well as customers and the markets and enterprises competitiveness, and partially plays mediation between leadership as well as process management and enterprises competitiveness. Meanwhile as one of the key activities that enterprise imports Performance Excellence Model, Organizational Learning and Improving plays complete mediation between leadership, customers and markets as well as process management and enterprises competitiveness, and partially plays mediation between strategy and enterprises competitiveness.This research mainly has two innovations:1.It is the first research on the promoting effect of Performance Excellence Model on enterprise competitiveness. This research differs from other scholars’ applied research or structural property research, and also this research does not focus on the enterprise management, but it focus on the company’s overall competitiveness:2.We regard Strategic Performance Management and Organizational Learning and Improving as key activities, it is the first time to exploreintermediary role between Performance Excellence Model and enterprises competitiveness.It is significant both in practical application and theoretical research.
