At the same time, the environment problems give increasing pressure on society, emission requirements are rising all the time.This paper describes the vehicle product development "five tools", points out the shortcomings of the use of FMEA tools. On the basis of the stage door method, presents the main process of light truck products development "five stage four door", that is, product planning, design, prototype trial, performance and reliability test, product production five stages and the criteria for when each stage is completed, goes into the next stage. Based on the theory of planning and control, the necessity and method of updating the project master plan and ensuring the project schedule and risk control are analyzed in a timely manner. And through the emerging problems of the project development process, seize the deep-seated causes of these problems- the organization establishment and the essential requirements and the ultimate objective of development process management are inconsistent, multi-dimensionly putting forward the adaptive method of the transformation of the organizational structure.This paper presents the R&D process management status and its problems,putting forward the corresponding countermeasure and the safeguard measures. So as to improve development efficiency, reduce development cost, enhance the quality of research and development in the subsequent product development project process.
