Research Of The Relation Between Marine Industrial Development And Economic Growth In Zhejiang

As the space of economic development continues to expand and the strategy continues to develop, the marine economy and marine resources have been widely appreciated. The coastal areas of C hina should take full use of their unique geographical advantages to develop their marine economy. Zhejiang province has rich marine resource, it is worth thinking about how to make use of this superiority to promote the regional economic growth. This article aims to study the relation between the marine economy and regional economy of Zhejiang province.The research approach of this article is as follows: firstly, this article sorts out the theoretical support of the empirical analysis, focusing on the theories about the relation between industrial structure and economic growth, between marine industry and the regional economic growth. Then the article analyzes the state of the marine economic development and the regional economic development in Zhejiang province, in addition, making a compare among the coastal areas of C hina about the marine economy. The empirical part uses shift-share analysis, gray correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis to study the relation between the marine three industries and the total marine economy of Zhejiang province, what’s more, explores the relation between the total marine economy and the regional economic growth of Zhejiang province. The conclusions are as follows: the marine industrial structure is constantly optimizing, which promote the development of the marine economy. The marine third industry makes the greatest contribution to the marine economy, and has the greatest correlation with the marine economy. The positive impact of marine economic development has positive effect on the regional economic growth in several constant periods, also the regional economic growth can stimulate the marine economic development through many ways such as providing a good macro-environment. The marine economy of coastal areas of China differ much from each other, compared with the well-developed marine provinces such as Guangdong province and Shandong province, Zhejiang province should take immediate measures to develop marine economy to narrow the gap.The innovative points of this article may be reflected in the following aspects: firstly, to study the relation between marine industrial development and the regional economic growth with the methods which are widely used in land economy, and giving a profound theoretical analysis about the relation between the marine ind ustrial development and the regional economic growth. Secondly, the conclusions are much more convinced by using multiple ways of empirical analysis and newer data. Thirdly, this paper made a comprehensively comparative analysis of the marine economy among coastal areas of C hina from many angles, which provides important value of reference about how to well develop the marine economy in Zhejiang province.
