Enterprise in the project is 50% of the funds by purchasing the payments to suppliers, project procurement costs directly affect earnings and corporate profits, making it more enterprises pay attention to how to reduce the purchasing management of procurement costs, increase market competitiveness of enterprises.To minimize the cost of purchasing is important for the growth of the company profits, but more importantly, should consider the project life cycle of the lowest overall purchasing cost. Inventory management is an important content of project procurement management, inventory not only affects the cost of the project, also restricts the entire supply chain comprehensive cost and overall performance. Now many enterprises are faced with the problem of high inventory cost, make full use of the resources of the supply chain, to reduce supply chain cost, ensure the production logistics management of high efficiency, low cost, has become a tendency of project procurement management.In this paper, on the basis of vendor-managed inventory(VMI) and procurement management theory research, combined with actual work to JZ company village project for the study, the analysis of its project procurement management status and problems,propose VMI improved through the implementation of programs and specific implementation measures, and implement changes in stock indexes after VMI by contrast, concluded that the need for the implementation of VMI.
