More and more people in our country have been seeking “the cultivation of body and mind”, and “prolong life”.Under these conditions, the health tourism of our country began to get rapid development.Bama is known as "the hometown of longevity" and "longevity of the world".The health tourism in Bama developed rapidly in recent years. People’s income have got doubled increase and their living standards have been further improved at the same time. This also promotes the variety of health tourism accommodation facilities,the maturity of tourism hotel reception facilities, and the scale of peasant type hotel reception facilities. Overall, Bama health tourism industry has a broad prospect for development, but there’s a big challenge for its sustainable development because of unreasonable exploiture plan and the irrelevant management, which leads to the ecological damage and cultural commercialization. Strictly in accordance with the coception of "protection first, moderate development”, the administrative departments for Bama Health Tourism are supposed to pursue the sustainable development rather than maximized benefits, and change the traditional health tourism into the comprehensive wellness tourism involving the traditional culture and high-tech.Combining with the connotation, the history of development and the characteristics of health tourism, and taking on-site interviews and investigations of tourists’ perception as a starting point, this paper will analyze and summarize the health tourism in Bama with the help of related health tourism theory and statistical analysis methods home and abroad. According to the site visits to local residents and visitors, we find that the secret of longevity in Bama lies in the magic ecological environment, the peaceful lifestyle, the beautiful natural scenery, and the colorful folk customs. The results of questionnaires to Bama Health Tourism show that visitor satisfaction is not high enough, especially the evaluation of tourism development belongs to the general standards rather than good ranks. This indicates that the product development of Bama Health Tourism and its tourism products can’t meet the travel needs of tourists. These problems are mainly reflected in the damaged ecological landscape, the poor consciousness of protection, the lack of planning, andthe management confusion. It’s necessary to change the situation of the single tourism product, the lack of cultural connotation, the imperfect supporting facilities, and the lack of awareness of brand. According to the analysis of the problems in investigations, it’s valuable to put forward specific proposals for building the image of Bama Health Tourism, promoting the tourism resources integration and rational development, and also enhancing the sustainable development of the city tourism.Analyzing the forecast of Bama Health Tourism from the concept of consumption, the development prospects of population structure and economic conditions, we find it’s urgent to guide the direction of development and reform of Bama Health Tourism.The analyses of operational issues are helpful to make various scenic spots in a reasonable position. The discussion of reform will contribute to the reform proposals for scientific rectification at the same time. We are in the hope that Bama Health Tourism will be developed healthily and sustainably.
