Today In the intensified competition of tourism, more and more scholars have found thatimage is an important factor to attract tourists and improve the regional tourism competitiveness,The times of image is coming quietly, and under its influence, the tourism planning thoughts alsoexperienced a change process which from "resource oriented" to "market–resources" to " image–market–resources".In the guidance of the idea of image as the core, a large number of tourism image planningtheory and methods have emerged, emerged some theories and methods of tourism imageplanning such as the regional tourism elements of local theory, the corporate image design theory,the theory and method of tourism image planning of TDIS mode, the building program ofregional tourism image etc.. These theories and methods have their one’s own knack in, it is thepressing matter of the moment to sum them up and to use them in practice to guide theconstruction of regional tourism image.This study is based on the literature review method, multi-disciplinary research methods,survey research method, research method, and quantitative analysis, to integrate the previousstudies, founding that the tourism image planning can not escape the three stages of investigationfoundation, core orientation and design implementation. Taking this opportunity, to proposecreative tourism planning "three phases of five steps--AIPDP" planning method, and applyingthis method in the practice of tourism image planning in Bama Yao Autonomous County.In the part of foundation investigation. Under the geographical context analysis of TheBama Yao Autonomous County,founding that unique and superior natural environment is animportant reason why the people of Bama longevity, unique longevity culture and rich andcolorful ethnic folk culture is the local characteristics of Bama. A detailed investigation andclassification of Bama tourism resources turned out that the tourism resources found in Bamahave completed types, good combination and higher grade of resources.The survey on thecurrent situation of Bama tourism image found that, the Bama belongs to this area of the lowvisibility and the high reputation, The overall impression of visitors to Bama is good, but theevaluation for some infrastructure is relatively low,"The longevity health resort" and " The goodnatural ecological environment" is the most important two background perception image forBama of visitors.In the core location. Based on the analysis of survey results and considering thegeographical context, the present image and resource endowment, putting forward the Bamatourism image theme–"the place of world ecological longevity" and the theme slogan–" the place of ecological longevity belongs to the world–exploration of the river of life". Based onthe image theme formulate the development strategies of Bama tourism, including the overallstrategic objectives, target market positioning and regional planning.In the part of design and implementation. Design the tourism image of Bama from twopoint of the human-place perception and human-human perception, to design a logo of Bamatourism image and slogan of tourism classification standard fonts, providing some suggestions toBama tourism image elements design from such aspects as landscape design, visual symbolrecognition system design, the sensory elements and service facilities construction. In the aspectof Image transmission, in addition to design the slogan, to analize the ways of the tourists accessBama tourism image information on the basis of the results of image survey questionnaire, andthus to make image dissemination strategy, finally, should pay attention to the tourism productsused as tourism image carrier."The three stage of five steps--AIPDP" image planning method has importantimplications for practice to improve tourism planning theory and guide the regional tourismimage planning.
