A Study On Food Safety On The Perspective Of Science Communication

In recent years the economy and society of our country develop rapidly, at the same time food safety issues are also increasingly prominent and present a high-risk situation. Food safety issues affect the government’s credibility directly, increase the social instability factors and cause the trust crisis of the whole society. In this situation, strengthening the food safety has become a top priority.This paper expounds the phases of the food safety issues’ development firstly and analyses the general characteristics of their development process. They are medium characteristics, technical risk characteristics and social characteristics. By analyzing these three characteristics we find that the medium characteristics of the food safety issues also present fusion, resonance, antecedence and other characteristics, food engineering technology has intrinsic, systematic risk and uncertainty problems. In addition the food safety issues are typical social problems. So the food safety issues also have various social features and very extensive social influence. Any food safety issue will touch the whole society.Secondly the paper analyses the social background and media technology environment of food safety issues. The occurrence of food safety issues is closely related with the progress of the society. Another important reason of food safety issues high-risk situation is the development of media technology. In other words, the development of media technology, especially new media technology relying on the Internet, makes the food safety problems occur frequently.So society and media are important for solving the problem of food safety problems. In the modern society of information transmission, in order to solve the problems of food safety more effectively and quickly, on the one hand we should continue to strengthen the existing traditional solutions. On the other hand we should put forward a new way to solve.
