Science and technology are two major propulsion of the human progress and social development. The popularization of science and technology spread knowledge to the world, and make "private knowledge" of scientific workers into "social knowledge". It is an important way to promote scientific technology development and social progress. Science popularization is a important part of the Social spiritual civilization and material civilization. It is also an important strategy to sustainable development and strengthen our country through science and technology. The creation and dissemination of science popularization works is the focus of science popularization. Now in the context of the new media age, what changes does the science popularization have ? What kind of innovation and development did the New media art bring to the creation of science popularization? This paper starts from the analyzing of the current situation of science popularization in our country, trying to find some new requirements of the current science popularization in our country with the help of discussions in the science theorists of modern science. At the same time it indentified new media and new media art , also studyed the features of them. After researching and analyzing the digital museums ,science centers, and the study of using animation in science popularization, the advantage and value of new media art to science popularization. Meanwhile, the author made some prospections and conclutions of putting new media art into science popularization.In the prospection part, with disscutions and analysis about the application of online games, mobile phone animation, mobile game in real life, make suggestions on the science popularization using online games and mobile phone animation. Discussing and analyzing the value of the suggestions. At the end of the paper, it conclude several principles to be followed when using new media art in the creation of science popularization works.
