In recent years, with the development of the internet and new economic, foreign trade, especially footwear manufacturing is playing an important role. Since China joined the WTO at the end of 2001, in the following 20 years of economic development after China’s reform and opening up, confronting the integrative market competition and economic globalization and changes of macroeconomic environment and policy, footwear manufacturing companies are also facing a series of new challenges. To improve the competitiveness has become an issue to solve. It is a crucial moment of Chinese footwear manufacturing enterprises, requiring a new breakthrough and growth point. Due to historical reasons, Chinese footwear manufacturing competitiveness has been limited. On one hand, footwear manufacturing enterprises are experiencing the pressure of t rising of labor costs, and the stress from other competitor. On the other hand, the opening-up of foreign trade franchiseis leading the footwear export trading company to suffer the pressure from other developing countries. Chinese footwear manufacturing industry can achieve leap-forward development definitely. The unique advantages in labor, resources and production cost, also can help to break the current status of low-cost product domination and enhance the competitiveness, which will become the new highlights of the footwear manufacturing enterprises. This article is based on the theory of enterprises competitiveness, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of Shanghai Pearl Shoe limited company. Starting with full preparation, considering the company’s actual situation, applying SWOT analysis, business environment analysis, empirical analysis and other analytical approaches, comprehensive consideration the macro environment and micro environment into account, distributing survey questionnaires within the industry, doing research about national statistics, research industry survey reports, and grasping first-hand data of footwear manufacturing industry, thus obtain sufficient materials to exploring how to improve competitiveness of footwear manufacturing enterprises. With the fundamental of adequate firsthand data analysis, this article firstly analyzes macroeconomic and status of domestic footwear manufacturing industry and focuses on exploring competitive environment of global footwear manufacturing enterprises. Applying SWOT analysis to this company and taking Shanghai Pearl Shoe limited company as the company competitiveness benchmarking. Eventually the article comes to the company’s business entity property, human resource management, focusing on e-commerce development and effective promotion, four aspects of competitiveness.
