Rural tourism is the important part of the rural and tourism development in Chinese new period. On the one hand, with the economic and society developing, urban residents having high life pressure and being tried of quick-paced urban life style. However, rural tourism fulfills urban residents’ needs. On the other hand, rural tourism will play an active role in solving rural surplus labor, promoting the adjustment of agricultural industry structure, maintaining the rural economic and social sustainable development and improving the farmers’ income. For the undeveloped area, this is the important way of easing the problem of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers".This paper analyzes and summarizes the development of farm tourism at home and aboard, treats farm tourism as the typical rural tourism in Longyou. Moreover, this paper obtains a large amount of data based on field investigation and experiment, and introduces the current farm tourism development in Longyou areas. Based on these data, this paper uses SWOT model to analysis the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of farm tourism in Longyou areas, puts forward dynamic strategic patterns and summarize rural tourism sustainable development in Longyou.At last, under the discussing and analyzing on the research result,this paper point out that the farm tourism is the trends of development of ecological tourism and has great potentialities in undeveloped areas, and then the management recommendations on sustainable development of farm tourism in Longyou areas, such as strengthening normalized management and unified standard of farm tourism, improve service quality, policy support, has proposed. The research conclusion of this paper can provide guidance for rural tourism sustainable development in Longyou and other underdeveloped are.
