A well-designed salary system can help company attract, retain and motivate talent in job market and maintain core competitiveness.Starts from the related theories on salary management, quoting the definition, structure, strategy and design process of salary system, this article analyzed problem and reason for current salary practice for Jinyang viega. Jinyang Viega is a joint venture which was invested by a Chinese private-run enterprise and a German company. After setting up of joint venture, Jinyang was in the stage of developing. But it’s salary system comes out of the private-run enterprise without proper position evaluation and distinction, which leads to the lack of internal equity and external competitiveness. It’s not good for development of company and employees.Based on scientific salary management theory and practice, with scientific methods and tools, the author tries to build a salary system which is fit for Jinyang Viega. The target is to enhance the incentive effect and equity of salary, increase employees’ satisfaction, increase employees’ motivation and creativeness, and achieve the maximum performance of salary system.This article is divided into six chapters. Chapter I is the introduction section which explains the situation and importance of the topic, study methods and structural framework. Chapter II describes the related theories and research for salary management. Chapter III shows the current practice of of company Jinyang salary management, explains and analyzes its problems.
